The Prophecies of Daniel: Part 8
Chapter 10-12, The Wars of the Kings of the North and the South.
Daniel's prophetic career began when God showed him the interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar's dream when he was only a youth. In it he saw events in the future of he and his fellow exiles in Babylon and those that were left behind in the Promised Land. This instilled a desire within Daniel to begin a long search for more details of these events. Five decades later, Daniel receives his first vision of the four beasts and receives help from an angel to learn of its interpretation. This vision only increases his desire for more details and his worry for the nation of Israel. The terrible fourth beast and the little horn worried Daniel and what this ruler would do to his people. Two years later God gives Daniel additional information on the little horn with the vision of the ram and goat, events that were centuries in the future.
Daniel later prayed for the salvation of Israel and pleaded with the Lord for their redemption as promised by Jeremiah. God revealed to Daniel that He would remember His promises to His people, that Jerusalem and the Temple would be rebuilt, and His people redeemed. God then gave to Daniel the exact date when the Messiah would come to reclaim Israel and the world.

"Astronomers are still searching for a hypothetical "Planet Nine" in the distant reaches of our solar system, but an exoplanet 336 light years from Earth is looking more and more like the Planet Nine of its star system.
Planet Nine, potentially 10 times the size of Earth and orbiting far beyond Neptune in a highly eccentric orbit about the sun, was proposed in 2012 to explain perturbations in the orbits of dwarf planets just beyond Neptune's orbit, so-called detached Kuiper Belt objects. It has yet to be found, if it exists.
A similarly weird extrasolar planet was discovered far from the star HD 106906 in 2013, the only such wide-separation planet known. While much heavier than the predicted mass of Planet Nine — perhaps 11 times the mass of Jupiter, or 3,500 times the mass of Earth — it, too, was sitting in a very unexpected location, far above the dust plane of the planetary system and tilted at an angle of about 21 degrees.

Jews are forbidden to gain access to the Temple Mount through the Chain Gate.
"As one of his first official acts after being sworn in, Vaturi headed for the Temple Mount. A religious Jewish resident of the Golan Heights, it was Vaturi's first ever visit to Judaism's holiest site.
While there, he told an organization that advocates for building the Third Temple that "anyone who represents Israel cannot be disconnected from the Creator. We are all anticipating the Redemption." Vaturi then openly recited the traditional Jewish prayer stating, "May we merit redeeming this place for the Shechina (holy presence) to dwell, and to build the Holy Temple quickly and in our days."
Jews are typically barred from praying atop the Temple Mount, but police officers present at the time did not prevent Vaturi from doing so. . ."

A cycle begins with a phase of religious revival, propelled by the tendency of new technological advances to outpace the human capacity to cope with ethical and practical complexities that those new technologies entail. The phase of religious revival is followed by one of rising political effect and reform, followed by a phase in which the new ethics and politics of the religious awakening come under increasing challenge and the political coalition promoted by the awakening goes into decline. These cycles overlap, the end of one cycle coinciding with the beginning of the next. . ."

"The Turkish military, with a past full of glory and honor, will continue to fulfill…the task assigned to them in our country and all over the world… I wish our soldiers success, who fight to preserve peace, calm and stability in many places from Syria to Libya, from Somalia to Kosovo, from Afghanistan to Qatar," Mr. Erdogan said.
Mr. Erdogan's broader focus has not stopped his defense minister from stepping up meetings with representatives of Turkic minorities, until recently the preserve of a separate government department.
"Ankara's interest in its ethnic kin abroad has markedly perked since the flare-up of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia in late September," said Turkish military analyst Metin Gurcan, referring to the disputed Armenian enclave that is legally part of Azerbaijan.
Mr. Erdogan made his Baku remarks against the backdrop of heightened strains with Iran, efforts by Turkey's Mediterranean detractors backed by the United Arab Emirates to stymie Turkish efforts to expand its access to regional gas deposits, and domestic criticism of his massive expenditure on religious soft power at a time of economic hardship. . ."

Come, Follow Me,...Matthew 4:19

"Whereas in Matthew Jesus gives this teaching near the beginning of his ministry, Luke sets it nearer to the end, on the road to Jerusalem. For Jesus and his disciples, this is a journey of increasing faith in the Father's promises and obedience to the divine will, even in the face of hostility and rejection. For the disciples, every step of the journey required an increasingly conscious effort to follow Jesus into the unknown.
This is the narrow door. It was easy to follow Jesus, one suspects, when he was a popular preacher and healer in his native Galilee. It probably made intuitive sense to follow his example and teaching when people responded positively to it. When Jesus started to arouse hostility, however, his followers came to realize the struggle their discipleship would require. Superficial encounters with Jesus were not sufficient. It was a form of "false discipleship" merely to be a spectator, to eat and drink in his company and hear his teaching. True discipleship consisted in following Jesus' example. As Jesus traveled toward his fate in Jerusalem, this meant sharing his obedient faith, even when it started to look absurd.
As C. S. Lewis pointed out in his book Mere Christianity, false Christianities continue to tempt Christ's disciples today. Some worship the church instead of the God it exists to serve. Others attempt to co-opt Christ for political or social goals that have little to do with the Gospel. Still others follow when it is fashionable but fall away as religion goes out of style. To give but one example: Throughout its history, the United States has experienced several "great awakenings" that have packed its churches, but these tend to sputter out over time. (Some scholars suggest that we are living through the collapse of one of these awakenings even now.). . ."

"It seems silly to spell it out, but it needs to be said: every person, regardless of their politics or age or income or location, benefits from being reasonably prepared for emergencies.
You should be prepared. Your spouse, kids, parents, neighbors, and friends should be prepared. Liberals, conservatives, gun slingers, vegans, young adults in their first dorm room, working moms, soccer dads, and grandparents in the country — everyone should be prepared.
"Prepping" is not a dirty word. Prepping is not limited to the tin-foil-hat stereotypes producers love to put on TV. Most preppers are rational and they come from all walks of life.
Many preppers are very intelligent and successful — so much so that they have a front row seat to the forces in our world making things worse, and it has caused them to take action and get prepared. . ."
