The Prophecies of Daniel: Part 6, Daniel's Four Beasts
During the first year of Belshazzar's reign (550 BC), Daniel received his own first recorded vision. It had been 52 years since he first interpreted Nebuchadnezzar's dream and 57 years since he was taken from his home in Jerusalem. That would make Daniel at least 70 years old. My guess is that Daniel pondered for many years the interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar's dream he had received years before and continually sought more information. This vision 'zooms in' or clarifies and adds understanding on the four kingdoms of Nebuchadnezzar's dream with additional information on the fourth.
It is also interesting to note that in Nebuchadnezzar's dream, everything was represented by inanimate objects. In the original dream, a great statue represented the four kingdoms that succeeded his and a stone rolling down a mountain represented the Kingdom of God. In Daniel's vision, he sees living animals representing the four earthly kingdoms and a judgement hall in heaven, with the Ancient of Days sitting upon one of the many thrones present as he gives the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven to the Son of God.

Wars and Rumor of Wars.... Matthew 24:6 Prophesies in the News:
By Peter Bergen, CNN National Security Analyst
Fri August 13, 2021
Taliban fighters patrol Kabul streets in a Humvee, August 2021. (Voice of America News)
Editor's Note:Peter Bergen is CNN's national security analyst, a vice president at New America and a professor of practice at Arizona State University. Bergen has reported from Afghanistan since 1993. His new book is, "The Rise and Fall of Osama bin Laden." The views expressed in this commentary are his own. View more opinion on CNN.
"A group of religious warriors, riding on captured American military vehicles, vanquish a US-trained military, which relinquishes much of its power without a fight.
Sound familiar?
That's what happened in Iraq after the US withdrawal of troops from the country at the end of 2011. Within three years, an army of ISIS fighters was only a few miles from the gates of Baghdad and had taken many of the significant cities in Iraq..."

The Earth Shall Reel To and Fro...Isaiah 24:20

BY Stuart Clark
The Gaurdian
"You'd think that if you found the first evidence that a planet larger than the Earth was lurking unseen in the furthest reaches of our solar system, it would be a big moment. It would make you one of only a small handful of people in all of history to have discovered such a thing.
But for astronomer Scott Sheppard of the Carnegie Institution for Science in Washington DC, it was a much quieter affair. "It wasn't like there was a eureka moment," he says. "The evidence just built up slowly."
He's a master of understatement. Ever since he and his collaborator Chad Trujillo of Northern Arizona University, first published their suspicions about the unseen planet in 2014, the evidence has only continued to grow. Yet when asked how convinced he is that the new world, which he calls Planet X (though many other astronomers call it Planet 9), is really out there, Sheppard will only say: "I think it's more likely than unlikely to exist..."

The Third Temple
"In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:" Amos 9:11
by Robert Reiland

"Multiple, irrefutable flaws void claims that Judaism's Temple in Jerusalem was located at the present mosque, The Dome of the Rock. Convincing evidence from Mt. of Olives contours demonstrate vital importance of the Law of the Red Heifer in such analyses. Details about Temple articles, cubit lengths, archaeological finds and "threshingfloor" function bring emphatic evidence to force an obvious conclusion on this question..."

"History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new." Eccles. 1:9
By Dmitry Orlov
"Hello, everyone! The talk you are about to hear is the result of a lengthy process on my part. My specialty is in thinking about and, unfortunately, predicting collapse. My method is based on comparison: I watched the Soviet Union collapse, and, since I am also familiar with the details of the situation in the United States, I can make comparisons between these two failed superpowers.
I was born and grew up in Russia, and I traveled back to Russia repeatedly between the late 80s and mid-90s. This allowed me to gain a solid understanding of the dynamics of the collapse process as it unfolded there. By the mid-90s it was quite clear to me that the US was headed in the same general direction. But I couldn't yet tell how long the process would take, so I sat back and watched.
I am an engineer, and so I naturally tended to look for physical explanations for this process, as opposed to economic, political, or cultural ones. It turns out that one could come up with a very good explanation for the Soviet collapse by following energy flows. What happened in the late 80s is that Russian oil production hit an all-time peak. This coincided with new oil provinces coming on stream in the West - the North Sea in the UK and Norway, and Prudhoe Bay in Alaska - and this suddenly made oil very cheap on the world markets. Soviet revenues plummeted, but their appetite for imported goods remained unchanged, and so they sank deeper and deeper into debt. What doomed them in the end was not even so much the level of debt, but their inability to take on further debt even faster. Once international lenders balked at making further loans, it was game over..."

"Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshek and Tubal; prophesy against him..." Ezekiel 38:2
By SETH J. FRANTZMAN
AUGUST 22, 2021
From the Jerusalem Post
"Ankara is pursuing both its Islamic and pragmatic geopolitical agendas in Kabul. Despite its concerns, it sees the Taliban win as a boost for its global aspirations.
Turkey is desperate to find a way to work with the Taliban and get control of Kabul's Hamid Karzai International Airport.
It has several agendas. It wants to control Afghanistan as a key route to China and Iran and also to sit astride global jihadist moments from Idlib to Kabul so that it can use them for its own agenda to become an Islamic world leader.
Turkey's ruling AKP party is linked to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, and it wants to work with Malaysia, Pakistan and other countries on what it sees as "Islamic" causes, such as pressuring India over Kashmir. But it has pragmatic reasons for cooperation with the Taliban as well: Kabul can be the key to influence over Iran, Pakistan, China and Russia..."

Come, Follow Me,...Matthew 4:19
BY RYAN HIGGINBOTTOM
"Christianity is not a club.
Jesus does not want cheerleaders or groupies. Following Christ is not about T-shirts, slogans, or hashtags. Jesus calls us to be children of his Father. He calls us to be his disciples.
Because Jesus has a unique role in God's plan of salvation, he is more than an example. The best mirror we find in the Gospel accounts is not Jesus, but his disciples.
Here are fifteen things we learn about being a disciple of Jesus from the Gospel of Luke.
1. A disciple is called (Luke 5:1–11).
Jesus didn't need a recruiter. He called and his disciples "left everything and followed him." Likewise, God calls us as disciples, not because we are worthy, but because of his grace (2 Timothy 1:9)..."

Emergency Preparedness
"If ye are prepared ye shall not fear..."
by JOHN RAMEY
"Building a bug out bag (sometimes a "go bag", INCH bag, 72 hour kit, emergency kit, etc.) is one of the most important steps you should take to get prepared. These packed and ready bags serve as your "I need to leave home right now!" kit, and as useful supplies if you're sheltering at home.
Even if you never use it, the peace of mind that comes with knowing you can handle almost anything is well worth the cost.
New? Start with the beginner's guide to emergency preparedness for more about the role of a bug out bag and how it fits in the overall modern prepper plan.
Putting a bug out bag checklist together can be daunting — even if you're only thinking about one or two types of scenarios, the list of items you'd like to have in an emergency is always longer than what you can take. Even the most experienced and skilled people have to make tough choices about what to pack..."
